Taxi Drivers Carrying Passengers between Azerbaijan and Georgia Should Obtain Special Permit
The meeting of the Azerbaijani-Georgian Joint Commission on international road links was held today. The parties agreed on the use of special forms of authorization, in order to "combat illegal transport of passengers" on the territory of Azerbaijan and Georgia, according to the PR department of the State Road Transport Service of the Ministry of Transport of Azerbaijan.
The state road departments of the two countries reached the agreement on the background of the growing volume of passenger and freight traffic between Azerbaijan and Georgia.
Since 2016 Azerbaijan has canceled the licensing for road transport of passengers. Carriers should only have distinction, confirming the payment of tax. ------08D
