The internal water supply and sewage systems in residential buildings handed over to Azersu
Internal water supply and sewerage systems in apartment buildings have been transferred to the balance of the state company Azersu. From now on, this company will be responsible water supply and sewerage.
The Cabinet has ordered the transfer of these services to Azersu from ministries and commissions and local authorities, regarding water supply and sanitation, as well as the internal water supply and sewerage systems in apartment buildings.
The decision was taken in order to improve the management of water supply and sanitation. Thus, the entire chain to ensure consumers of water was passed into the hands of Azersu.
The head of the Press Service of JSC Azersu Anar Dzhabrayylly told Turan they are working to develop a comprehensive reconstruction of the water supply and sewage systems in residential areas. The company has over 1 million of subscribers in the population.
The expert economist Nazim Mammadov said the government's approach is to provide single-stage system of water management. They install water measuring devices in flats, while the privatization of apartments in apartment buildings is being completed, creating a real prerequisite for this. According to Mammadov, the system of housing and operational areas cannot cope with the responsibility, and therefore the level of their service is at a low level. The expert hopes that after all the water supply and drain water will be concentrated in the hands of Azersu, and the situation will change for the better. - 08B-
