The Judicial System Slows Registration Center for Public Initiatives
Azerbaijan Ministry of Justice denied registration of the Center for Public Initiatives headed by the known public figure Gubad Ibadoglu .
As Turan was told by this PhD, coordinator of the National Platform for Civil Society Forum of the Eastern Partnership Program of the European Union, yesterday the Supreme Court refused to consider the lawsuit.
According to Ibadoglu, he appealed to the three corresponding Management Justice , after the failure in all cases tried to solve the problem in the courts. After the failure of the district and appellate courts , he March 27 sent an appeal to the Supreme Court . However, until now not received notice of the initiation process, bailiffs are also not aware of this .
The scientist believes that due to the lack of an independent judiciary an increase in unregistered NGOs. The government, instead of to help solve the problem, is trying to prevent the consideration of claims by the European Court of Human Rights.
According to the rules, the Court within 6 months has been considering the legitimacy of the verdict's highest court. Supreme Court of Azerbaijan does "slow" consideration so that the European Themis did not have the denial verdict making eligible for communication with the local authorities by the European Court.
Gubad Ibadoglu said he intends to fight to the end for their rights. - 17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
