The Ministry of Transport receives funding for the implementation of eight projects
Cabinet of Ministers has revised the decision on the allocation of the state budget to finance public investment projects. Due to reducing the financing of five projects the Ministry of Transport has received 31.5 million manat for the implementation of eight projects on road transport infrastructure
According to government sources, two months before the end of the year the Ministry of Transport has received an additional 15 million manat for the construction of two km of Baku-Alat (from village to Bayil till the Flag Square). Prior to that, 25 million manta were allocated from the state budget for the project.
It should be noted that five of the 15 million manat were allocated for the project by reducing the compensation for the relocation of residential and commercial buildings, which were to be built in the above-mentioned area.
To finance the construction of five pedestrian crossings and complex transitional assembly for vehicles and passengers in Baku, additional 7 million manta have been allocated. For construction of the road R-8 (5th km) – Wilman- Hatman, and construction of the road bridge over the River Akhsuchay, 9.5 million manta were allocated .
Note that the Ministry of Transport is one of the most opaque government agencies, which had disposed of about 30% of the investment funds of the state budget. Ministry conceals actual amount of funds spent on specific projects. 08B
