Today is the World Day of Safe Internet. On this occasion the Institute of Information Technologies of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan issued a booklet-memo for children, protecting them from the negative impact of the global Web. In addition to describing the threats directly, the publication lists the methods of protection with comments. There are many examples of international practice, the case the relevance of children's social networks are also provided. The brochure is not sold, it will be distributed free to libraries of educational institutions of the country.
The World Day of the Safe Internet has been celebrated for 12 years in more than 70 countries under the auspices of the European network of Safer Internet Centres - Insafe on the second Tuesday of February. The main purpose of the action is to draw public attention to the urgent and growing global problem. --17D-

Azerbaijani internet service providers Aztelekom and Baktelekom will introduce substantial changes to their pricing structure starting August 15, the companies announced today. Under the new tariffs, the minimum internet speed will rise to 100 Mbit/s, with the cost per Mbit/s decreasing from 0.45 AZN to 0.25 AZN. As a result, monthly charges will be set at 25 AZN for 100 Mbit/s, 30 AZN for 150 Mbit/s, and 36 AZN for 250 Mbit/s.
