Baku / 08/31/18 / Turan: State-owned AzerGold CJSC has announced an open tender for the production of precious metal ingots. The company will make its choice in October this year. Turan IA addressed its questions in connection with this fact to the press secretary of the gold mining company Aziz Khalilov.
- According to what government document is the plan for making coins of gold and other precious metals implemented? What is the purpose of their release?
- The plan of making coins and ingots is realized on the basis of development strategy of CJSC AzerGold. Their production is aimed at being recognized as a gold mining country in the local and international market, as well as promoting the Made in Azerbaijan brand to support local entrepreneurs, as well as the development of the domestic market. The production of ingots and coins of 999.9 samples and their presentation under the brand AzerGold will not only expand the variety of goods in the local market, but will also give impetus to the formation of favorable economic relations. In the case of a successful outcome of the initial phase of the project, work can begin on increasing the product portfolio and offering a group of new products on the market.
- At what face value and in what quantity will the coins be issued?
- Gold and silver coins that do not have a face value will weigh 5, 10 and 20 grams. Gold ingots will also weigh 5, 10 and 20 grams. The total quantity of the first batch will be more than 4,000 pieces. The ingots and coins that have won the tender announced will be provided with the relevant quality certificate by the affinity appraisal companies.
- Has the issue of their registration been resolved and is it possible to tell the press about the samples?
- At the initial stage of production, gold and silver coins will be issued in three different designs: Heydar Aliyev Center, Gobustan, and the ornament of Garabagh Carpets Chelebi. On all these products it will be noted that it is gold or silver of Azerbaijan. After manufacturing the first batch of ingots and coins, AzerGold CJSC will provide the public with extensive information. --08B--
