Anti-Russian Action on the Day of Putin"s Visit
According to the site Gala.tv on December 2 at 13:00, a protest march against Armenia's accession to the Customs Union took place in Yerevan. For this purpose, an initiative group "Worthy Motherland" , which had previously released a statement has been created.
The initiative group includes representatives of the following parties: Free Democrats , Legacy, Ayazn, and public organizations: a journalist's club Asbarez, Vanadzor Office of Helsinki Citizens' Assembly, Civil National Initiative , representatives of civil society and active citizens of Armenia. Some of the action initiators intend to burn the effigy of Putin or Russian flag.
At the same time, the leaders of the initiative remind that the march and demonstration will be exclusively of peaceful nature. "The upcoming meeting and procession are entirely peaceful. Initiators do not encourage every manifestation of violence, moreover, is not permitted under this initiative to incite enmity and hatred against people," said initiators of the action in a statement.
