NATO confirmed that Ukraine will receive more air defense systems
UNIAN: Secretary General of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Jens Stoltenberg confirmed that Ukraine will receive more air defense systems.
As the correspondent of UNIAN reports, about this Stoltenberg said at a joint briefing with US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin in Brussels as part of a meeting of defense ministers of the Alliance member countries.
"I welcome the unprecedented support that the United States has provided to Ukraine, as well as the unprecedented support that European allies, Canada and partners are providing to Ukraine. I also believe that this is a very important message that NATO allies and partners voiced yesterday at a meeting of the Contact Group on Defense of Ukraine, that we will be on the side of Ukraine as long as necessary," Stoltenberg said.
"We will strengthen our support, and in particular, we will provide more air defense systems to Ukraine," the Secretary General of the Alliance stressed.
