Serzh Decided to Imprison Largest Armenian Businessman
Yerevan / 13.02.15 / Turan- ArmInfo: Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan yesterday night during a meeting of the ruling Republican Party criticized the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party Gagik Tsarukyan, calling him a "political clown," illiterate feudal lord, not understanding the essence of his own statements and actions dictated by his supporters or members of other political forces.
Calling Tsarukyan "evil" in the political field of Armenia, Sargsyan said that he would not any longer tolerate this situation, and it is time to eradicate this evil. In this regard, the President said that he intends to exclude Tsarukyan from the National Security Council. "The supreme body of the country's security is not the theater to come and go at will," said the head of state.
Next Sargsyan instructed MP Republicans to begin the process to deprive Tsarukyan of the mandate in connection with his not coming to sessions of the National Assembly. "Of the 145 parliamentary sessions 2013-2014 Tsarukyan attended only 4. If he ignores his constituents, we do not. We appreciate every voter, so tomorrow our deputies will start the appropriate procedure to put an end to this absurd situation,” said Sargsyan.
Next, he touched the shadow economic activity of Tsarukyan: "Over the years remain open allegations regarding concealment by Tsarukyan of billions of tax revenues. All this he veils under "charity", giving people only crumbs from the huge hidden assets. In this regard, I charge the Prime Minister to thoroughly verify the truth of these allegations and publicly present the results to the people. "
According to the President, also remain untested rumors about Tsarukyan creating professional criminal mechanisms. "Tomorrow I will convene a meeting of the National Security Council, during which, together with police officers we will decide what to do with such information," said Sargsyan.
Toward the close the President stressed that he had nothing against Gagik Tsarukyan as a citizen of Armenia and as an entrepreneur, unless, of course, rumors about his problems with the law are confirmed.
As expected, today Tsarukyan will hold a closed meeting of his party leadership, where he will answer Sargsyan. -02D-
