The man of "Gasprom" becomes a Prime Minister of Armenia
The new prime minister of Armenia has become Karen Karapetyan, who has worked in recent years in senior positions in the Russian "Gazprom". The new prime minister is 53 years ; since mid '90s he worked in Armenia's gas supply system, and participated in the privatization of the country's gas distribution system by "Gasprom". In 2010-11 he was appointed a Mayor of Yerevan, but then immediately returned to the position in the "Gasprom" system, becoming the vice-president of "Gasprombank". His last post was deputy general director of "Gasprom energy."
Introducing the new prime minister, the President Sargsyan expressed hope that Karapetyan will start deep reforms in Armenia, to restore public confidence in the authorities. -02D-
