Turkey Approved Project of Gas Transportation from Turkmenistan to EU
Turkey supports the transportation of Turkmen gas across the Caspian Sea. The Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of Turkey, Yildiz said at a quadrilateral meeting with the representatives of Turkmenistan, Turkey, Azerbaijan and the EU, reports TRT.
Along with Yildiz participated in the negotiations Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Turkmenistan Baymurad Hojamuhammedov, Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev and European Commission Vice President for Energy Maros Shefchovich.
Taner Yildiz said during the meeting that Turkey since 1990s supports the transportation of Turkmen gas to the European Union and politically and technically supports the transportation of Turkmen gas across the Caspian Sea.
The Minister of Industry and Energy Natig Aliyev drew attention to the fact that Turkey is known for its energy megaprojects. "Along with supplier countries and markets supplied with gas, transit countries such as Turkey are also of great importance," he said. -0--
