In April in Baku the average prices of the consumer basket on 30 kinds of basic food products of domestic production, composed by the agency Turan, decreased by 2.85%. In connection with the start of the season for local fruits and growth of their role in the diet Turan predicted stabilization of the prices.
In March, the rise in prices was observed at 1.29%, and in February - by 0.9%. In January, after the second wave of devaluation of the manat, there was a decrease of 6.4%.
In April, markedly fell seasonal cucumbers (-33.3%) and tomatoes (-33.3). But most of all fell flour (-37.4%). Sugar prices also decreased (-12.5%), along with lamb (11%), corn oil (-9.7%), beef (6.6%), and chicken meat (-3.2%).
Local pastry and apples became slightly more expensive.
On other products prices generally remained stable.
In May, prices for local seasonal agricultural production will continue to decline.
