Acting chair of the Islamic party arrested
Baku / 02.03.20 / Turan: The Islamic Party of Azerbaijan announced the arrest of its leader - acting party chair Ilham Aliyev.
According to the same source, on March 2, a Sabail court arrested him for 4 months on charges of treason (article 274 of the Criminal Code).
He was detained on February 29 in the afternoon at the State Security Service, where he was summoned. After that, there was no connection with him.
* The leader of the party, Movsum Samedov, is also under arrest on the same charge. He was sentenced to 12 years in prison in 2011 on charges of trying to forcibly overthrow the constitutional order and create a religious state in the country. -02D-

The Kazakh side has published information about the nationality of 67 people, including 5 crew members of the AZAL plane that crashed on December 25 in Aktau. Among them, 38 people died, and 29 survived.
