Anar Hasanov Not Only Diplomat Fired from Embassy in Australia
The scandal surrounding the Azerbaijani Embassy in Australia, after the dismissal of the third secretary Anar Hasanov, does not subside.
As previously reported, the diplomat was dismissed after he promulgated the facts of corruption and fraud in the embassy. However, this was not the only cause.
Pressure on Hasanov and other diplomats began after they put "likes" under the known article by Arif Mammadov, OIC representative in Brussels, who sharply criticized corrupt officials in Azerbaijan.
The diplomats were demanded to submit written explanations and to oppose Arif Mammadov. After they refused, persecution of the diplomats began.
The first officer fired from the embassy in Australia was Farid Subhanverdiyev, an informed source told Turan. After that, the turn of Anar Hasanov came.
The latter received a humanitarian visa and was forced to stay in Australia due to the fact that his wife is due to give birth and the doctors have forbidden her long flights.
Our efforts to get a comment in the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry about the fate of these diplomats were to no avail. -02B-
