Armenian-Azerbaijani meeting in Strasbourg
The up coming meeting on 28-29 November in Strasbourg, organized with the support of the Council of Europe, brings together Armenian and Azerbaijani representatives of civil society in a variety of fields.
It aims at engaging in a dialogue between participants on future activities promoting mutual understanding and cooperation in the region. Addressing the participants, this first dialogue does not focus on the conflict in the region directly, but on creation of the environment, promoting conflict settlement.The meeting is organized with a view to discuss possible joint actions and to elaborate efficient approaches aimed at promoting a better understanding of the other country through notably education and media. This dialogue is based on the respect of commonly shared values promoted by the Council of Europe, such as Human Rights, Democracy and the Rule of Law, - was informed by one of the participants of the meeting, co-chair of Helsinki Citizens' Assembly (HCA), chair of Azerbaijan National Committee of HCA Arzu Abdullayeva.

On February 13, the Appeal Court did not satisfy the defense's appeal against the decision of the Khatai Court regarding the arrest of journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi.
