Armenian MP on strengthening the frontline in Karabakh by the Armenians

On the results of his trip to  the frontline on August 12-15  the the opposition Armenian MP Nikol Pashinyan  published an article entitled "Araks Talish. New front line" on the results and consequences of the April war.   The articles  gives an interesting description of the state of the Armenian army, and the Turan agency presents its translation with some reductions.

The purpose of the trip was to familiarize a group of MPs and public figures  with the army construction and verification of the use of funds collected to support the army. Pashishyan writes about "dramatic changes" at the front. In  particular, in the Aghdam direction  has been enhanced technical intelligence system that allows you track deep  at the territory of Azerbaijan the progress of technology.

Such a system existed in the past, was installed here in March, and allowed to observe the movement of the Azerbaijani army in March 4, and to stop it by  artillery fire.  "Now such systems have been installed along the front line," writes Pashinyan.

The next step was to improve the radio  and wire system at the forefront. "The main innovation is that the new system enables the commander of the army promptly communicate with hundreds of products at the forefront of the closed doors, without being heard by the adversary. In addition, the system will transmit all the visual information in real time to the Supreme Commander and the General Staff. " Another innovation is  equipping almost all positions   with night vision devices and a weapon with a telescopic sight, allowing to fight at night.

It is very important to settle the power supply at the cutting-edge positions. To provide electricity for all of these devices are used military batteries and portable generators. In addition, portable power stations with solar batteries are also used.  Another important trend was to provide positions with water.  In particular, dozens of  outposts near the lost height Lalya-tepe  have been  provided with  permanent drinking water, which was not there before.

Pashinyan further  admitted that during a 4-day war the Armenians lost 15 positions. Therefore, it was necessary to build new ones, to build 56 km of new roads.

Then the deputy makes a disappointing conclusion that for many years all these issues were not given proper attention, and  appropriate measures were not taken. The reason for this is the lack of funds and the possibility of the Armenian Defense Ministry.

Another reason  is  the corruption  by authorities and violations of the rights of people, the collapse of the economy and education. "That is my opinion, and the majority of residents of Armenia," admitted  Pashinyan.

Perhaps that is why  only 50% of the 4 billion 661 million dram for the army were collected in Armenia. And not by  citizens, but by government agencies, and  transfers from Russia amounted to 20%.  But the most important thing is  that the United States received only 2.5% of the donations, and only 0.2 percent of the French-Armenian community.

Pashinyan says that sometimes the Armenian Diaspora makes unskilled action by purchasing expensive, but the wrong equipment, such as infrared telescopes. The April War also identified gaps in the supply of the army with food and technical equipment, which proved to be unusable at the forefront.

Pashinyan further  said that a more detailed discussion of the problem is not possible because of the military secrets. At the same time, the deputy acknowledges that in the course of a trip along the entire front line from Arax to Talish he had not received an answer to the question: "Why did we lost  the Talish and  nearby areas; and unlike the other sites  this area had equipment night vision? . Why we lost

Lalya Tepe, which is considered the best position on the southern front?  Although we did not get specific answers, but sources said that the investigation was extensive and prepared a detailed report, which is considered a military secret." "Nevertheless, I dare to conclude that one of the main reasons for the loss of territories was a human  factor, or inadequate commanders with low education and moral character ," admitted Pashinyan.

As a positive step he calls the appointment of Colonel Jalal Harutyunyan,  who revealed good skills in  the Talysh, the commander of the southern division (Fuzuli-Jabrail), calling  his one of the best officers of the Armenian army.

After the April war,  while appointment the  commanders the Armenians, first of all, take into account their psychological and mental level. Summing up his observations, Pashinyan said that the main conclusion is that the enemy  lost the opportunity to attack the guard. Representatives of the Armenian army and the national security service  are convinced in it.

Returning to the lost territories, Pashinyan said that no one could think that Lalya Tepe can be captured,  and just that's why  it was lost. We do not know what happened, but major personnel changes have shown that there is a wide range of offenders. As for the village of Talish, there are almost no people, only the soldiers. After the loss of a number of positions, the village is actually controlled by the enemy.

Dozens of villages in Tavush region - Movses, Aygepar, Chinari, Baghanis, Voskepat  and others re under the same situation, but people  did not leave them.  He also expresses indignation at the fact that the inhabitants of the Armenian Talysh  left their village, although Azeris from the neighboring village  of Tagaragoyunlu  are still there despite the attacks. -02В-
