Baku/30.03.23/Turan: IDue to the commissioning of the new Lachin road, several dominant heights, main and auxiliary roads, as well as the vast border area between the villages of Jagazur and Zabukh of the Lachin region were taken under control. This is stated in the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan on March 30.
Remind that in August 2022, a new road was introduced in the Lachin region bypassing the city of Lachin, and the connection between Karabakh and Armenia continued along it.
Since Armenia did not build its own road section to connect with the new route of the Lachin corridor, Azerbaijan laid a temporary road from the village of Zabukh to the new highway.
Now, according to the Armenian media, the construction of the site on the territory of Armenia has been completed. Therefore, the need for the functioning of the segment of the road from the Zabukh to the new highway disappeared and the Azerbaijani army took up new positions on the border with Armenia. -06B-

On November 19, the Sabail District Court of Baku granted the prosecution's request to extend the pretrial detention of Talysh researcher Iqbal Abilov for another four months, his lawyer, Rovshan Rahimov reported. According to the lawyer, the defense considers Abilov’s detention to be unjustified and disputes the charges brought against him. Abilov himself also rejected the accusations. The defense plans to file an appeal against the court's decision.
