Azerbaijani Embassies Again Received Terrorist Threats
A number of Azerbaijani embassies abroad, including the diplomatic mission in Hungary, again received letters with terrorist threats. Messages with the same content with threats to the Azerbaijani diplomats were also received by a number of foreign media, including The Guardian in the UK.
In these letters, sent out on behalf of the Armenian terrorist organization New ASALA, there are direct threats to the Azerbaijani diplomats in connection with the release of the Azerbaijan officer Ramil Safarov, convicted in Hungary on charges of murder of an Armenian officer.
Commenting on the threats to the Azerbaijani diplomats, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry spokesman Elman Abdullayev said the international community must respond to the terrorist threat.
Terrorist threats and challenges should not go unpunished. The international community should not take a contemplative attitude and must condemn these facts, Abdullayev said. Azerbaijan has the right to rely on this support, given the large contribution to the fight against global terrorism.
In addition, these threats are directed not only against Azerbaijan, but also pose a challenge to the world community, said Abdullayev.
Earlier, the Azerbaijani embassies received threats on behalf of the Armenian terrorist organization ASALA. -06D -
