Azerbaijani embassy attacker sentenced to death
Baku/02.10.23/Turan: The Iranian Supreme Court sentenced Yasin Huseynzadeh to death for an armed attack on the Azerbaijani embassy in Tehran in January 2023. This was reported by the Azerbaijani state television channel AzTV.
On January 27, Huseynzade carried out an armed attack on the Azerbaijani Embassy in Tehran. Entering the embassy building with a machine gun, he killed one embassy employee and wounded another. A third Azerbaijani embassy security officer managed to force him out of the building. Baku regarded the incident as a terrorist attack and evacuated the embassy. –06V-
