Babayeva was a Participant in Gular Ahmadova Scandal
Sevinj Babayeva was the mediator in the bargaining between Rector Elshad Abdullayev and MP Gular Ahmedova. Judging by the conversations in the video, she negotiated the amount of the bribe and transferred the money from the Rector to Gular Ahmedova. It is noteworthy that Sevinj Babayeva has a PhD degree in Law (!) and she works as the Director of the library named after Sabir (subject to the Ministry of Culture).
Sevinj Babayeva was well known by journalists once accredited in the Parliament. So, in the mid 1990s, Babayeva founded and served as editor and the parliamentary correspondent for the newspaper Kheyir ve Sher (Good and Evil).
Despite the reputation of the publication as a racketeer newspaper and its irregular release, Babayeva was easily accredited and had full access to the offices of the Parliament.
At that time, there were many such "journalists" in the Parliament. Most of them were friends of an MP or an officer and performed various functions, including the publication of compromising articles on the "enemies."
These "journalists" proudly spoke of "friendship" with MPs and state officials, solved various business issues, provided intermediary services in obtaining lucrative positions, promoted business interests, etc. -03B-
