Baku Gives Protest Note to Israeli Embassy
The close partnership between Jerusalem and Baku has suddenly been darkened by the visit of Israeli women to the Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the publication "Yediot Akhronot", a group of Israeli tourists has caused an angry reaction by official Baku. The Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan was even handed a protest note.
In recent weeks, a group of Israeli women went on a trip by jeeps with flags of Armenia and Israel. According to "Yediot Akhronot", secret services of Azerbaijan asked for an explanation from the travel agency Magma Challenge, which organized the tour, and then an official note of protest was handed over.
The IzRus portal reported that the company, which had organized the trip, is called Magma-Travel in the World LTD. This is a private entity engaged in the implementation of tourism projects around the world. Project Magma Challenge is extreme tourism exclusively for women, including a tour by jeeps to exotic localities in Arab countries, Africa, the Balkans, and other regions of the world.
