Bayramov`s telephone conversation with Cleverley
Baku/17.10.23/Turan: Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov held a telephone conversation with British Foreign Minister James Cleverley.
They discussed the agenda of bilateral cooperation, as well as the situation in the region, normalization and the current state of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reports.
Bayramov informed Cleverley about the results of the anti-terrorist operation in Karabakh, which put an end to threats to peace-building and stability in the region from illegal Armenian armed formations.
As a result of the disarmament of illegal armed formations, obstacles to the process of reintegration of the Armenian residents of the region into Azerbaijani society were removed, Bayramov added. He also spoke about the implementation of concrete measures in this direction.
Cleverley stressed the importance of continuing efforts to strengthen peace and trust in the region and, in this regard, the continuation of negotiations on the peace agenda and normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
During the telephone conversation, the parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest. ---06B---
