PFPA activist Orkhan Bakhysh arrested for 20 days
Baku/17.10.23/Turan: The Khatai District Court of Baku sentenced an activist of the Popular Front Party (PFPA) on Tuesday Orkhan Bakhysh to 20 days of administrative arrest. He was found guilty under Article 510 (minor hooliganism) Code of Administrative Misconduct. Information about this is published on the electronic court portal.
According to the PFPA, Bakhysh was detained on October 16 by plainclothes officers.
According to sources in the PFPA, the reason for the activist's arrest was his criticism of Ilham Aoiev on his Facebook page. "Former political prisoner Orkhan Bakhysh has become the fifth PFPA activist arrested in recent days. The regime does not stop fighting against the people. Freedom for political prisoners," the leader of the PNPA Ali Kerimli wrote on Facebook. It was not possible to get comments from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. ---06B---
