Beyukshor Boulevard and Park Opened
With the participation of President Ilham Aliyev the Beyukshor boulevard and park opened today.
According to Economy Minister Shahin Mustafayev, the boulevard and the park were created on the oil-decontaminated area around the Boyuk Shor lake.
The length of the boulevard area is 2.5 km. The total landscaped area is 15 hectares. It is equipped with children's playgrounds and marked lanes for cycling and jogging. Fountains have been installed in the lake. Automated control and a monitoring system control the level and quality of the water.
Thus, the first stage of work on the landscaping around the Beyukshor lake has been completed.
To prevent runoff of oil waste and polluted water into the lake, a dam 1,570 m long was built. In the future it will be the basis of an 8-lane highway. The dam separates the lake into two parts.
In the second phase of the work the rest of the lake will be cleaned. -06D-
