Border Regime with Russia, Turkey, Iran and Georgia Simplified
Ilham Aliyev has ordered simplification of the border regime for citizens of some countries. The President instructed the Foreign Ministry, the Customs Committee, and the Border and Migration Services to prepare proposals for improvement of legislation in order to ‘provide fast passage through the border checkpoints on the borders with Russia, Turkey, Iran and Georgia.’
In addition, the President ordered the creation of the Tourism Council.
The Ministries of Economy, Finance, Culture and Tourism, the State Administration of Civil Aviation and AZAL are required to organize new international routes to attract tourists to the country. -74D-

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has expressed condolences to the President of Germany, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, following the tragic incident in the city of Magdeburg. "We are deeply shocked by the news of the deaths and injuries resulting from the tragic incident that took place at the Christmas market in Magdeburg," the message reads.
