Deputy Defense Minister resigned
Baku/05.11.13/Turan : Deputy Minister of Defence , Lieutenant-General, Chingiz Mamedov, has written a letter of resignation, according to an unofficial source . It is expected that a relevant decision will be made in the near future.
The same source reports that deputy chief of the press service in the Defense Ministry , Major Teymur Abdullayev, has also written a letter of resignation. Pressure was placed on him by the leadership, which caused his hospitalization and subsequent report of resignation.
Staff changes have begun after the dismissal of Defense Minister, Safar Abiyev, and the appointment of Zakir Hasanov. So far, several high officials have been dismissed and re-appointments made.-05B04-
