Baku/29.05.18/Turan: By order of the Chairman of the State Customs Committee, Vusal Novruzov, head of the Baku Main Customs Administration, was removed from his post and transferred to the disposal.
Ismail Huseynov, who worked previously as chief of the main customs administration of motor transport. Baba Salayev, head of the main department for combating law violations in customs, was also removed and transferred to the disposal. Instead, Masum Rasulov was appointed instead of him. A number of pro-government media reported on these changes on May 29. The State Committee itself does not comment on these publications. -02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
