Erdogan in the car with Aliyev answered a question about his health
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that his health is fine during his first appearance in public in person at the country's largest technology exhibition Teknofest. He arrived there by car with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. In the same way they left the event, Aliyev was driving.
Answering a question from a CNN Turk journalist about his health, the Turkish president said: "I'm fine."
At the festival, Erdogan, among other things, announced candidates for the country's first flight to the International Space Station: the Turkish Air Force pilot Alper Gezeravji became him, and the system engineer of the Turkish rocket manufacturer Roketsan in the field of space launch systems Tuva Jihangir Atasever will be a reserve candidate, the Anadolu agency wrote.
On April 25, the Turkish president became ill on the air due to stomach flu. After that, he said that, on the recommendation of doctors, he canceled all public events and would "rest at home." A Haber then reported that Erdogan's health condition was "not severe," but doctors recommended that he rest for another day.
The Turkish leader canceled the events scheduled for April 27, taking part only in the opening of the Akkuyu NPP via video link. Akkuyu is a joint project of Moscow and Ankara and the first nuclear power plant in Turkey. Its construction was launched in 2018. Russian President Vladimir Putin also participated in the opening of the station via video link.
