Father of Detained Activist Rejects Charges of Drug Possession
Rasim Azizov, father of the NIDA activist Mammad Azizov arrested in the evening of 7 March on charges of drug possession, rejects the accusation.
In an interview with Turan R. Azizov said that nearly two days after the detention of his son the investigating authority did not contact with the family or informed about the place of the custody.
"I have not heard anything about it, except for messages on television. I live in Sheki. Hearing the information on television, I came to Baku. My son did not even smoke cigarettes and I never saw him consume alcohol. I believe him more than myself," said R. Azizov.
Recall that DHS has stated that "Molotov cocktails", drugs and money were found in the apartments of the members of NIDA Bakhtiyar Guliyev and Shahin Novruzlu, and drugs were found in Azizov’s apartment. -03B06-
