Наджмеддин Садыгов
Four months later, the Ministry of Defense admitted that the head of the General Staff was fired
Baku/28.01.21/Turan: The Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan, which for four months kept silence about the fate of Chief of the General Staff Najmeddin Sadigov, suddenly announced today that he was transferred to the reserve.
In the days of the Second Karabakh War, the Ministry of Defense did not react in any way to the questions of what happened to the First Deputy Minister of Defense and did not comment on rumors about his removal. Meanwhile, military sources said that Sadigov was removed from office at the very beginning of the war. The reason is the dissatisfaction of the head of state, who criticized the head of the general staff for an inadequate report on the state of affairs in the army. According to a number of former military, the losses at the beginning of the war were associated precisely with the name of the former chief of the general staff. After that, many of Sadigov's henchmen were also removed from the Ministry of Defense.
Despite the fact that about 4 months have passed since the dismissal of Sadigov, no one has been appointed to the post of head of the General Staff. -02D-
