President Ilham Aliyev signed a pardoning Decree on March 17 and released about 70 prisoners. Among them is the editor in chief of Azadlig paper Ganimat Zahidov. He was arrested in November 2007 and sentenced in 2008 to 4 years for hooliganism. However international community recognized him as a political prisoner.
