Azerbaijani police used unnecessary force to disperse a peaceful protest in  Baku, on March 10. More than a hundred protesters were arrested and released several hours later. At least 24 faced administrative trials for disobeying police and participating in an unsanctioned rally, and were fined or sentenced to jail.
