On April 8 Ilham Aliyev received the President of the Islamic Solidarity Sports Federation, Youth and Sports Minister of Saudi Arabia, Prince Abdullah bin Mosaad bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud. Prince Abdullah said that Azerbaijan is ready for the Games and Islamic solidarity.
Ilham Aliyev noted the importance of his visit to Saudi Arabia to further strengthen cooperation and solidarity in the Islamic world.
As for the visit of Prince Abdullah in Baku, Aliyev stressed its importance in terms of enhancing cooperation between the two countries in the field of sports and issues related to preparations for the Games of Islamic solidarity in 2017. -02D-

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years.
