Lawyer: Authorities want to cause a quarrel between I.Mamedov and T.Yagublu
The convicted leader of the "REAL" Ilgar Mammadov condemned attempts of the pro-government media to cause a quarrel between him and another accused of the Ismayilli events – Deputy head of "Musavat", Tofig Yagublu.
On January 13, the Supreme Court postponed consideration of the appeals of both convicted under the pretext that the complaint from Yagublu came "later", and the judge did not have time to read.
The lawyer Fuad Agayev visited Ilgar Mammadov, who asked to convey to the public that the authorities' attempts to create tension between the two convicts through the controlled media is "harmful and useless idea."
The lawyer also pointed out that January 13 was the last day allotted to the Azerbaijani government for the execution of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on the complaint from Mamedov on May 22, 2014.
On October 13, the Grand Chamber of the ECHR dismissed the appeal of the Government of Azerbaijan, and in accordance with Article 46 of the European Convention on Human Rights, the ECHR decision had to be exercised within three months. -16D-
