Lawyer supports the call to deprive the 20 MPs of their mandates
Member of the National Council of Justice, retired General, Vidadi Mirkamal, considers appropriate an appeal of the Chairman of "Adalat" party, Ilyas Ismailov, to the Constitutional Court to deprive mandates of 20 deputies . Mirkamal justified this initiative, saying
"Over the past 20 years Azerbaijan violates the requirements of the Constitution and the Electoral Code. Therefore , the concern of Ilyas Ismailov is quite reasonable . Violation of the requirements of the Basic Law and Executive Power indicates the presence of legal nihilism , and that Azerbaijan is far from the rule of law," said Mirkamal .
Ilyas Ismailov appealed to the Constitutional Court with a request to deprive the mandates of 20 deputies. Ismailov justified its proposal by the fact that these MPs hold positions in government agencies , which is prohibited by law.
According to Ismailov , these MPs should be derived of their mandates, or to resign .
Furthermore , some of these members have illegal business structures since these structures have been registered not for them, but for their closest relatives. -05B04-
