A curious incident happened at the welcoming ceremony of the head of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, in Kiev. The chief guard of honor, welcoming the presidents of the two countries in front of the presidential administration, waved his sword, but struck his cap , which came off his head.
The military guard did not panic, and caught his hat in the air. Captain Kulish did it so skillfully it seems that Aliyev did not even notice it.
However, Yanukovych did notice the manipulation with the hat; and watching how deftly the captain caught the military cap, the Ukrainian President first opened his mouth in surprise , and then broke into a smile. -02D-

Last night, three earthquakes occurred along the Armenia-Azerbaijan border with magnitudes of 4.8, 3.0, and 3.8, according to the Republican Center for Seismological Service of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan. The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported no information about any destruction or casualties as a result of the earthquakes.
