Moscow and Kiev accuse each other of blowing up Crimean Bridge
Baku/12.10.22/Turan: The organizer of the October 8 terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge is the head of military intelligence of Ukraine Kirill Budanov, explosives were delivered from Odessa via Bulgaria, Georgia and Armenia. This was announced on October 12 by the Federal Security Service of Russia.
The FSS detained eight accomplices in the preparation of the terrorist attack – five citizens of Russia, three citizens of Ukraine and Armenia. Total 12 accomplices involved in the terrorist attack have been identified.
Explosives disguised as rolls of polyethylene were shipped in August from Odessa to Bulgaria. From there, the cargo came by sea to the Georgian port of Poti, and from there to Yerevan. In Yerevan, the cargo was cleared and the documents were changed.
On October 4, the cargo crossed the Russian-Georgian border through Verhniy Lars and on October 6 was delivered and unloaded at the wholesale base in Armavir, Krasnodar region.
There, the documents for the cargo were changed again, and a non-existent company in the Crimea was indicated as the recipient. The cargo was placed in the car of the Russian citizen Yusubov Mahir. When the car was following the Crimean Bridge, an explosion took place, the FSS said in a statement.
In turn, the Ukrainian side rejected these accusations as stating that blowing up the bridge is the work of the FSS. In particular, Ukrainians drew attention to the fact that the X-ray of the truck provided by the FSS disagrees with the photo of the real truck which is on the surveillance camera at the entrance to the Bridge.
Besides, no explosives are visible on the X-ray, which cannot be hidden. -02B-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.

During the ongoing COP29 climate conference in Baku on November 14, a group of activists staged a protest condemning Russia's aggression against Ukraine. The activists also denounced countries that supply oil and weapons to nations waging aggressive wars. The protest featured placards with slogans such as: "From fossil fuels to peace!", "End war crimes!", "Punish the aggressor!", and "Phase out fossil fuel use to achieve peace!" among others.
