Musavat Activist Released After Questioned by Police (UPDATED)

On Saturday morning in the city of Lenkoran a member of the Control and Audit Committee of the party Musavat Fikret Akhmedov was arrested. He was called to the police station and was arrested without explanation or charges, said the party Musavat.
According to the party, the detention of Akhmedov related to the upcoming trial of the other activists of Musavat Yadigar Sadigov, who also lives in Lenkoran.
Akhmedov is the key witness in the Sadigov case and during the preliminary investigation he testified for the defense, nullifying the charges against Sadigov.
The party demands the immediate release of the arrested Fikret Akhmedov and condemns the attempts by the authorities to condemn Yadigar Sadigov by any means. -05D-
