"Musavat" condemns the verdict against Mehman Huseynov
«Musavat" party issued a statement of protest against the arrest of a prominent journalist and blogger Mehman Huseynov. The authors of the statement note that Mehman Huseynov was repeatedly subjected to physical pressure, was deprived of documents more than once tried to kidnap.
On January 9 he was kidnapped, then taken to the police and subjected to torture and humiliation. However, the guilty were not punihsed.
The authors of the statement regard the decision of the Surakhani court illegal, and registered and require the immediate release of Mehman Huseynov, the arrest of which is contrary to international standards, national law, the statement said. -05D04-
