OSCE MG countries play along with Armenia and are interested in freezing the conflict - I. Aliyev
Baku / 26.10.20 / Turan: The OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs monopolized the topic of resolving the Karabakh conflict; the activities of the Minsk Group itself were paralyzed, President Ilham Aliyev stated this in a televised address to the people on October 26.
“There were no results from their activities for us, but there was an excellent result for Armenia. She wanted exactly this - eternal negotiations with no result, she wanted this issue to be frozen, and the occupation became eternal.
I have repeatedly stated, “If you want a solution to the issue, then apply sanctions against Armenia. It's all in your hands, you are permanent members of the UN Security Council and you can solve any issue,” Aliyev said.
He also called it strange that three countries - Russia, the United States and France on this issue show a coincidence of positions.
"How it is? In all other issues - on nuclear weapons, on the situation in the Middle East, in Asia, on European issues, their positions are opposite, and on the Karabakh conflict, their positions coincide. We understand well where they coincide - in the desire to freeze the situation in favor of Armenia. Only now, Azerbaijan is not happy with it," Aliyev said. --70D06—

Official Baku has condemned the visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the Azerbaijan-Armenia border during his official visit to Armenia. "The visit of Polish President Andrzej Duda to the to Armenia-Azerbaijan border area in the company of members of the EU Mission in Armenia (EUMA), unfortunately, is another demonstration of anti-Azerbaijani policy of different EU member countries and European institutions. We deeply regret that President of the country which is officially a “strategic partner” of Azerbaijan has participated in the unacceptable diplomatic “binocular show” leading to the aggravation of relations between Azerbaijan and Poland,”" reads the statement on the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ account on X (formerly Twitter).
