President Ilham Aliyev signed orders to withdraw Tofig Abdullayev from his positions of Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Saudi Arabia, Oman, Yemen and Bahrain, and Permanent Representative to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and on his appointment as Ambassador to Qatar.
Eldar Salimov was recalled from the post of Ambassador to Qatar. Rasim Rzayev was appointed Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and awarded a diplomatic rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.
Another order of the President appointed Tarik Aliyev as Ambassador to Morocco.
In the past, he served as Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France.-0--

From 19 to 26 July, 24 automatic rifles, 1 machine gun, 9 rifles, 28 grenades, 441 shells, 3118 cartridges of different calibre and other ammunition were found in Khankendi, the Azerbaijani Interior Ministry reported. President Ilham Aliyev has approved by decree the Azerbaijan-Kazakh intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in military intelligence defense sector. The document was signed in Baku on 7 June 2024.
