Putin to Speak at Russian-Azerbaijani Forum
Baku / 27.09.18 / Turan: On September 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is on a working visit to Baku, will participate in the 9th Russian-Azerbaijani interregional forum and hold talks with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev, the website of the Russian President www.kremlin.ru reports.
Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev will address the plenary session of the Russian-Azerbaijani interregional forum organized by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation jointly with the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan with the support of the Roskongress Foundation.
Among the participants and speakers of the forum, there are the Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation Maxim Oreshkin, the Minister of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev, extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of the two countries, heads of regions, representatives of the business community and experts. The forum is aimed at developing trade-economic and humanitarian ties between the regions of Russia and Azerbaijan. -02D-

The European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) today issued five rulings on applications from Azerbaijan. The case of "Afgan Mammadov v. Azerbaijan" concerned the complainant's exclusion from the Bar Association. Mammadov was expelled based on a complaint filed by a colleague, which he considered unjust. The ECHR ruled that Mammadov's rights had been violated and ordered Azerbaijan to pay him €5,000 in compensation for moral damage and €1,000 to cover legal costs.
