Qatari Sheikhs Finished Shooting Forbidden Birds in Azerbaijan
Qatari sheikhs have finished their game shooting on the hunting estate Mahmudchala in the Salyan district of Azerbaijan. Tuesday evening, accompanied by the traffic police, they arrived in Baku.
The hunt lasted nine days, and of particular interest to the hunters were the bustard and the falcon, listed in the Red Book. The hunting of these birds is prohibited. It is unknown how many rare bird species the Qataris managed to kill, but they left happy, Emil Mammadov, chairman of the Public Association for Assistance to Democracy told Turan.
According to unofficial reports, the hunting retinue was headed by Hamid bin Jassim bin Jabr Al-Thani, who is the Prime Minister, Foreign Minister and Minister of Internal Affairs of Qatar, all in one. He brought with him 11 sons, and 100 persons and servants accompanied him. They completely occupied the Kur hotel and were provided 30 Toyota jeeps, one bus, and two trucks to transport hunting gear and equipment. -0 –
