In a joint raid by the 29th branch of the Yasamal district department of police and the Ministry of National Security, in the house of Mubariz Asadov, living on the street H. Mustafaev 85 people were detained. They are supporters of a religious movement Nurchular (Nur). At the same time, they seized 3,000 copies of prohibited religious books, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Soon after that the detainees were released. In respect of two persons a case was filed under Article 300 (violation of legislation on freedom of religion), and in respect of five - under Article 299.0.2 (violation of the order of creation and activity of religious organizations).
Note that the prosecution of Nur in Azerbaijan began after a year and a half ago the Turkish authorities accused the leader of Nur, theologian Fatullah Gulen of anti-state conspiracy. At the same time in Azerbaijan were liquidated institutions associated with Gulen. -06D-
