Rogozin: assembly aviation plant will be opened in Baku
Russia, as the largest exporter of good and inexpensive weapons, is interesting for Azerbaijan and Iran, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin told reporters after the summit held in Baku Presidents of Russia, Azerbaijan and Iran. According to him, " of course, the Russian Federation as the largest exporter of good and inexpensive weapons, is interesting for Azerbaijan and Iran."
According to Rogozin, Azerbaijan is also interested in purchasing the MC-21 aircraft of the Russian Federation; Russia expects to sign a contract for 10 aircrafts by February 2017.
"Azerbaijan is interested in buying Russian aircraft MS-21. After the first flight of the aircraft we expect that this will happen either at the end of this year or at the beginning - in February, we aim to sign a contract for at least 10 aircrafts MC- 21," TASS quoted Rogozin.
According to him, the helicopter center and the plant for assembly of planes will be opened in Baku.
"A helicopter center with the planes of Soviet and Russian, production will be created in Baku. Their modernization and service will now be on the territory of Azerbaijan," Rogozin said.
According to Deputy Prime Minister, "the aircraft assembly plant will be opened in Baku." -0--
