Sahib Alyev Mentions BP in Connection with the Coup D"etat in 1993
MPs will never resign, under any circumstance; MP Fazil Mustafa said this at today’s meeting of Parliament.
"The Case of bargaining between former deputy Gular Ahmedova and former Rector of the International University, Elshad Abdullayev, should be considered solely on the legal level, and should not be a cause for demagogic innuendo," said the deputy, head of the party "Great Creation". He expressed dissatisfaction that opposition newspapers use scandal "Gulargeyt" to attack the deputies, calling for the dissolution of parliament.
"It is appropriate to remind about the compromising video of the newspaper "Azadlig” editor, caught on camera during an unworthy occupation. Did the whole editorial board resign then?" Mustafa asked.
Another deputy, Alyev Sahib, who was at one time the editor of "Merkez" newspaper, founded by Gular Akhmedova, also was indignant. "Why seek the opposition wanting to dissolve the parliament? Perhaps they want to justify the rector, who failed to get into parliament through bribes."
According to him, people do not trust the opposition, which was overthrown because it relied not on people, but on international players, including the BP Corporation. By their own admission, just BP contributed to their overthrow," he said, referring to the overthrow of the government of the Popular Front in 1993. -17В-
