Telephone conversation between Bayramov and Donfrid
Baku/08.12.22/Turan: On Thursday, December 8, a telephone conversation took place between Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov and US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Karen Donfried. This is stated in the message of the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan.
They exchanged views on the current state and prospects of the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as on various issues on the agenda of Azerbaijani-American relations.
Bayramov informed about the current state of negotiations on a peace agreement with Armenia, work on opening communications and border delimitation issues. In addition, the recent illegal actions of the Armenian side, carried out using the Lachin road, were mentioned.
Donfried, for her part, stressed that the United States supports efforts to ensure stability in the region. She noted the importance of advancing the peace process in accordance with the agreements reached between the leaders and ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia.—06B-
