The deputy of parliament admits "lynching" Rustam Ibrahimbeyov
Baku / 25.05.18 / Turan: A campaign of persecution of the famous screenwriter Rustam Ibrahimbeyov continues in Azerbaijan; he is accused of betraying national interests for the creation of the film "The Caucasian Trio". During the three days of the campaign, various appeals were made, including the deprivation of Ibrahimbeyov of all awards and titles, citizenship, bringing him to justice, etc. Deputies of the parliament, public figures, former colleagues of Ibrahimbeyova and pro-government activists compete in inventing the forms of punishment and condemnation of the famous playwright, without hesitation in expressions.
Over these days, Ibrahimbayov was accused of forgetting and insulting the memory of the victims of Khojaly, working for Armenians, financing enemies of Azerbaijan and hatred of their country and people. One person even accused the playwright of the continuation of the criminal activities of Asal (an Armenian terrorist organization.)
It seems that the imagination of these figures, as well as their moral qualities, knows no obstacles.
But the deputy Fazil Mustafa, who in an interview with the "Novosti-Azerbaijan" news agency on May 25, particularly surprised: "Rustam Ibrahimbeyov's policy carries political motives, his goal is to humiliate Azerbaijanis before the Armenians."
"Writer can be criticized, attacked for his works, it is possible, of course, that he is misinterpreted, misunderstood, but it is not welcome when the writer's artwork carries a malicious political context." Again, in any other work it is possible to describe the negative image of the Azerbaijanian. However, if this is done in the context of a comparison with the Armenians, it immediately becomes clear that this was an order from outside, and therefore people of this type are subject to severe public condemn, lynching ( the word lynching was underlined by us - ed.)
Probably, a member of parliament understands the meaning of the word "lynching" and realizes what he is talking about. But even if he does not understand the meaning of the word "lynch," what is happening testifies to a certain level and state of ideology in the country. The fruits of the ideological policy of the authorities periodically manifest themselves in calls to cut off the ear to the writer, burn his books, and now lynch. -02D-
