The first Olympic Games in Europe may take place in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan is a prime candidate to host the first Summer Olympics in Europe in 2015. On Saturday, December 8, according to the Reuters news agency, the Forty-first General Assembly of the European Olympic Committee (EOC) in Rome to decide on a major world sporting innovation. The main opponent of additional events is the European Association of Athletics with a reference to a very tight tournament schedule.
According to the President of the European Olympic Committee, Patrick Hickey, sport can and should unite, especially the Old World.
