UN Offers to Borrow Experience of ASAN Khidmet
Baku / 23.03.18 / Turan: The resolution "Promotion of human rights and the goals of sustainable development through transparent, responsible and effective provision of public services" was adopted on Thursday in Geneva at the 37th session of the UN Human Rights Council.
The document was adopted at the initiative of Azerbaijan in the framework of achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals adopted in 2015.
The resolution was based on the idea of using the concept of ASAN Khidmet Azerbaijan, the country's Foreign Ministry reported.
The adopted resolution emphasizes that the provision of public services through technological innovations and innovative approaches contributes to the protection of human rights and the prevention of corruption.
The importance of the use of mobile services centers and electronic applications is emphasized in order to increase the availability of these services for citizens living far from the main centers of public services.
As co-authors, 87 states representing all geographical and political groups of the United Nations have joined the resolution. -06D--

On the evening of February 5, it was reported that journalist Shahnaz Beylargizi had been arrested. She had been a presenter on the Toplum TV channel for several years. After a criminal case was initiated against the channel in March 2024 and nearly all of its staff were arrested, Beylargizi was questioned multiple times.
